A bit of Eiffel tower views

It is obvious that the Eiffel Tower has become the icon of France. Thus, carrying the camera I left for gazing the symbol of Paris.
It was fantastic!
A bit of History. Eiffel Tower remains the tallest of the city. It was built between 1887 and 1889 as the entrance arch for the Exposition Universelle, a World's Fairstructure dedicated to the aniiversary of the French Revolution.

I did it! Finally I'm posting a photo to my dear livejournal!!!!!!!

This one was made on the very first day I travelled around Paris... Well, frankly the second day, cause I (with my friend) came to Paris around 11. pm and were rolling our luggage aroung famous freaky Pugalle and Le Place du Clichy... Ooooow, the Paris is my best memory from all this rainy summer...

What a freaky situation... never thought I could be so busy and freaked out to have no time to write into my lovely livejournal...
Aaaach!!! Hope tomorrow I finally get to my favorite photosss... have so much to post :P

The "retro" video was shot in the mid 60s... You can guess about it looking the cars and busses. So beautiful. I keep on wondering and telling : Oooooooh, I know this place... I've ever been there :)

Working hard, I have no time to work on the things I really like...
I had so many freaking problems... and feel so homesick... shuttt
Gonna post something at least today in the late evening...
Now it's high time to eat and then work, work, and work.

I became so sentimental. Don't know what's happened... Maybe I'm getting older... dunno.
I watched this movie and just loved it at once.
The music is soooo awsome. I found out that it was Moriccone who wrote this masterpiece. So adorable. Everytime I enjoy listening his music. The same I wanna wish you :)

Rotterdamse port

The Rotterdam port is the biggest and the busiest port in Europe.
Going though the city centre (from Leuvehaven), to the historic area of Delftshaven, Maashaven, Feyenoord, and Rijnhaven, the port covers the area of 40 km.
Rotterdam port is the largest oil port in EU. Besides there are the biggest fruitport centre, transporting fruits from(mainly from Brazil) and to all the parts of the world.

Just decided to participate in the photocontest...
This photo of mine seems the most "contrast" of all I have ever taken.
Amazing city of Maastricht, which is on the southern part of the Netherlands greeted me that day with a regular February carnival.
It was so interesting. All the inhabitants of the city were in the streets of the city singing, dringking beer, and having a great time wearing strange costumes.

Anyway, it was extremely interesting and funny.

Also, the nights are SO DARK there!!! The darkest ever... So, you can see it on the photo.

INTERNATONAL CULTURE FESTIVAL, LEIDEN, 10TH OF JUNE 2007

The 10th of June was marked as an International Cultural Festival in the amazing city of Leiden, the Netherlands.
The Festival brought me a lotta fun... despite the fact of losing my voice (the result of non-stop talking on and on presenting my country)
The day was amazingly sunny... after all those rainy days brought us a surprise. =)

That day came a lot of people. At least more than'd expected.

Of course, mostly students. But there were a lot of just curious (AND HUNGRY!!!) people who came to taste some foriegn cusine.
Here you can see some of them eating in our booth :P

Overall there were 20 teams.
Every team has a separated booths. Here are some of them...

Greece, offering uzo just to everybody =)

Lithuania, putting headless object of their national pride - Sabonis in front of the entrance. Fot the national cuine they offered brown bread and ring - shaped cranckles... never cosidered these snacks as a national cusine o_O

Pakistan - a team of contrasts. Very colorful. Also, the offered some exotic thing as alcanna bodyart... Really beauiful.

This is VERRRY BRIEF report on what country teams were presented on the Festival.

Then started the most interesting part of the Fest (in my opinion) - the dance performances.

It was opened by the dancer from the UK, performing a bellydance o_O
But, anyway, she did it quite well =)

After followed Bali butterflies - alike girls form Indonesia

There was a memorable (for me) performace of Brazilian Capoeira. It was really AWSOME!!! I loved it. It was so unusual. There I enjoyed by the Brazilian dance-battle style =))

Another one memorable dance was performed by the greek guy. He showed a "dance of a broken hearted man". It's supposed to be danced by an only performer. But, a few moments later, the scene was full of Greek students, supporting him. It was cool!

After followed the Ukranian team dancing "Gopak"...

The next dancers were from the United States... well, at least I guess so. They showed a dance accompanied by a megamix of Gwen Stefani, PCD, J Lo, and JT, Britney's songs.
Also, they made some sort a "passort control" zone in their booth, and after passing it they offered popcorn and some coke - national food :P
Anyway, I liked their idea a lot!!! :D

Afterwards we could observe the team of Pakistan... I had a feeling like I appeared in one of the scene of Pakistani movie, where there are a lot of songs, dances, and flowers.

The "firework" of colors was repleced by a firework of latin passion - a couple performed SALSA.

Then followed the MOST memorable dance of Suriname team. They mixed daces of all the nationalities living in this country. It was amazing.

The show was finished by the Dutch team. Their performance was an unexpected one.
Can you imagine some 12 girls wearing traditional Dutch piligrime costume and dancing a hot rumba - salsa thing? Yeah, that was the closing program =)))

It was an evening time... the weather was getting cooler, and everybody moved to the dancing hall, where the party continued.

Then, the "jury almighty" announced the winners of the festival contest.
The third place was taken by Ukranians, the second - by Indonesians, and the first one by Suriname team. In other words, the prizes were taken by the biggest teams that were present on da Fest.
But, anyway, I know, that we were the MOST POPULAR TEAM EVER!
SO, we are the winners too :))

That was my story to tell.
And now I'm tired and going to sleep :P

I do my best to master my photographs.
Reading some comments on my probably stupid questions :P I wanna thank everybody (especially crabbyoldbustard =)) for explaining me all the niceties of working with filters and the photoshop.
Now, I would like to post some stuff of mine for testing if I learned my lesson well =))

Last weekend was an awsome one!
My best friend made me such a surprise... that I could only dream =)
Everything was perfect... even if I felt myself very unwell.

You know, Amsterdam is a city, where people come for the special atmosphere... I love this special atmosphere of freedom to express your mind, interesting people, and street music =)

Here, on the main square on the city, was a "professional street entertainer" - one man show. It was so spontanous, and gathered quite a lot people. Everything was so open... and funny. So usual for Amsterdam
I love this city :)

Made a post to some of communities I am following.
Obviously, haven;t posted for quite a long time... Hope it'snot that bad... I'm still mastering in photography, dreaming of a good professional camera. But, anyway, hope the photos are not bad :P
Those are photos I made in Keukenhof. it's an amazing place, located not far from Leiden. It is a real Kingdom of flowers located in Holland. So many flowers!!! Guess that as there in the last weekend, one before its closing till the next year - the 19th of May.
Although some of the flowers had ceased blossoming, there were a great variaty of them.

Finalmente, got back to my lifejournal!

Starting from the "Somebody told me" the Killers just caught my eye.
I love their music style, their videos.
Sounding so "British", they originally are from the US =))
Started in Las Vegas, Nevada (hmmm as well as Panic! At the Disco... as far as I remember)
Had a real success in Great Britain after releasing "Mr. Brightside".
The strangest line from the song: "Somebody told me that you have a boyfriend, who looks like a girlfriend that I had in February of last year. It's confidential, but I have potential..."

Queens Day Dancing Fever

Yeah, yesterday was a super fantastisch day.
Well, at least for me.
I couldn't organize anybody to this event... But anyway, I feel happy that I did my own way... even being alone!
Actually, I came a bit late to the amazing city of Leiden (you know, being upset... and even depressed a bit with the fact that I had no followers) but I came RIGHT ON TIME when the GOD OF THE DANSFLOOR stepped on the scene. HE WAS AMAZING!
Despite the fact of overcrowded event, I did my best to go through the crowd... And eventually dancing and moving appeared on the front row... I cannot describe all the emotions I felt that time... I rememer the rythm almighty making medance and super Armin van Buuren. Aaaach, he's just gorgeous!!!
